Bright Eyed & Bushy Tailed

Logan has slept well at night since day one. It has been rare that he has woken up more than once per night. However, I have still missed my sleep...but not last night. This little boy slept through the night for the first time, 2 days shy of 8 weeks old. He went to bed at 10:00 and didn't get up until 5:30. Okay, so that is earlier than I would ever get up...but I consider it sleeping through the night.
I'm hoping that this wasn't just a fluke and this will be a new habit. I have been trying to build my milk supply back up, so Logan has been nursing very frequently for the past 2 days. This may have played a factor in wearing the poor kid out. He's had to nurse about every hour to get enough. Now we are going on day 3, hopefully we start to see an increase in amount. This is getting tiring, I feel like I've had my shirt off this whole time.

Comments

A couple people told me you had to have a google account to leave any comments. That was my fault, I had it set that way...and didn't even know it. But I changed it, now anyone should be able to leave a comment.

Formula troubles

Lately I haven't been producing enough milk for Logan, so we have been supplementing a lot. Well it seems like he's beginning to have trouble with the formula we are using. Over the last couple days he has been pretty fussy while he is eating. Today was especially bad, we went to the ranch with Gammy, Grandad, & Great Grandma. The poor little guy couldn't manage to eat anything all afternoon. He would try to eat and just cry and cry because his tummy hurt, it was so hard. We gave him some drops for the gas and he fell asleep on Gammy's lap. We picked up some soy formula on the way home, so hopefully that will help.

By the way I was curious if anyone is actually reading this blog. I would enjoy your comments and advice.

Happy Baby!

We have been blessed with a very happy baby. Logan has such a good temprament. He's rarely fussy. Even when he is, it is short lived.
Adam got tickets from work to the rodeo this past weekend. They have an indoor rodeo here. They hold it at the AT&T center, where the spurs play. So we took Logan, Gammy, & Grandad. We had really good seats, right by the chutes in the 3rd row. I carried Logan in the sling that my mom made, & the kid slept through the whole thing. He slept through all the noise of the rodeo, being passed around, and the concert afterwards. He woke up at the very end to eat. Then he was a good boy all the way home.
This weekend we are really testing his good nature. Reba & I are taking Logan and driving to San Angelo for his cousin Aubree's birthday. Hopefully he does well in a 4 hour car ride. I know everyone will be excited to see him.
